I'm thinking some form of Post-Rock / Shoegaze thing, but from experience I always find giving a project a genre ties it down too much. Plus I like music to have a good energy live and whilst Shoegaze provides atmosphere and moodyness which personally comes over me quite intense and movingly during a live performance I also understand some people find it to go on too long or simply think it doesn't have the raw energy provided by more gritty genre's like Punk and Grunge. So some kind of experimental hybrid is in order! Whey! Another thing, I'd much prefer to be in a band situation with other peoples ideas and influences. Avoiding samey-ness and monotony is key.
As a filmy-dude, I'm hoping to incorporate visual stimuli as more of integrated thing. A/V performances are the future. Music videos being not videos made for music but them being made together and part of the live experience. Projectors and screens on stage and such.
What I have come up with so far is very much Post-Rock and doesn't fulfill my 'raw-gritty-energy' self inflicted goal. Hopefully when other people start to throw in ideas it'll completely change. But you can get an idea of artsy A/V style and such...

Other;
Scale The Summit.

(It's coincidence they're all mostly instrumental and I have no way of recording vocals, just what i happened to be listening to at the time. I have nothing against singers :D )
